wee robot

Hello. This is Weeble. He is a little robot, made from one of the patterns in the new Softies book. I immediately took to this little guy, and once I saw that the designer was the usual suspect, I understood why. Can this woman make anything I don't like? Anyhow, the pattern calls for wool as the main material, but I had none, so I just used some plain old fabric. I think he would be much more adorable if he was made out of wool and if I had something to use as antennas. But I didn't. So he's antenna-less. Oh well.
I weighed it down with some glass pebbles mixed in with the bottom part of the stuffing. I love that it's bottom-heavy... it gives it a nice weeble-wobble characteristic. You know the ones. They weeble and the wobble and they don't fall down.
Or at least, not until Brookie gives them a swipe...

I wanted to give this one to Matisse for his first birthday (tomorrow! Happy birthday monkey!), but it's got a few too many teeny bits and pieces he might chomp on, so it might go to a slightly older girl that just moved back to NYC...
